Master Mix Cookies

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond
1 egg, unbeaten
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt

Makes stiff dough. Slice 1/8" thick. Roll. Color half of the dough to make pinwheel cookies. Bake on ungreased sheet for 5-6 minutes at 400. Makes 6 dozen cookies. Chill dough before baking.
